I notice that several of the posters on here are very frequent and strong in there comments .It would be helpful to some of us to have some knowledge of your backgrounds and qualifications to better understand your reviews and comments.

I desperately tried to follow in his steps but was fired for laziness. Ended up being a vice president at a large bank and had my life re-ordered after the Crash of '87. Since then, I have been forced to shed layer after layer of self-involvement. Reasonably sane until I was baptised a Baptist in '95--but quickly shook it off in a fit of congregational disgust. I remain medicated, semi-happy, and complacent. I developed a true passion for film when I reached the masturbatory age--catching glimpses of mamms was the true incentive for my film going. Yet, I have never approached the Paul Ruebens pinnacle of behavior. Otherwise harmless, I am still plagued with impure thoughts.
Grew up (well, not quite there yet) in Southern California, Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, transplanted to the Midwest, joined research program on selective breeding to enhance tree resistance to diseases and pests. Have no formal training or connections to film/music/entertainment industry. But I know a bad experiment when I see it and Rebecca Pidgeon acting in her husband's films is a bad one.
I am not questioning anyones ability to write a comment ,was just curious about the different backgrounds that people on here have. To be fair ,I am an architect and like all types of films, especially film noir, history based stories and films with lots of well written dialogue, also good comedies.
Curious, really ? Do you really need the moral support, the every thing is right, son?
The society ladder, to know to whom to speak to?
Come get free.
See if you can get Patrick spill HIS beans... he is a hedonistic French SOB doing his time in Germany... that much we do know, but the rest is shrouded in an apparently intentional mystery.Me... I am just a EE schmuck, who happens to love movies.

But It mean nothing, of course.

...that the medical help should be free. Why don't you guys settle it between the two of you?
I'm an illustrator, graphic designer, photographer and writer. I've worked in various capacities in the arts since about 1980. I have several friends in the art/technical side of the film industry, one pretty far up the food chain. I took your basic film studies classes in college. I watch about 4 or 5 movies a week.Everybody else in this thread is right, so long as you can formulate an opinion and make your fingers spell it out, you're entitled to say your piece. If you're halfway inteligent, you can tell the people that are talking out their asses and the ones that aren't . . .
Me, I just like movies and own over 1500 on laserdisc and DVD. Plus I frequent theatrical presntations. And I have done a lot of reading
on fims and film people.
George Bernard Shaw had NO musical training, nor did he ever formally study music.
I suggest you read reviews here for entertainment and attach worth as you view the same movies and consider your consequent opinion.
To ask snobish questions?
I know of no "reviwers" here, just people who love movies. Also, it shouldn't take long to figure out who resonates with you and who doesn't. For instance, if you if you want to devote the rest of your life to studying "The Wicker Man" then clark is most certainly your man. By now he is about fifty viewing ahead of everybody else, but there is no law that sez you can't catch up.
