My wife and I just saw it tonight. Phenominal! Not a bad performance from anyone in the cast. William H. Macy, Maria Bello and Alec Baldwin have really outdone themselves in this movie.
Funny in unexpected places, what a breath of fresh air after the last Matrix and so many other big films that were a waste of time.
Cheers,Graham

Follow Ups:
I, too, enjoyed this. I know that the grainy look of the film was intentional but I had problems with the sound, missing some of the dialog. I couldn't attribute this either to the theater or the sound track (or both). What do you recall about the sound?
The sound was fine in our theater, though my wife occasionally missed part of a phrase. Nerve damage at certain frequencies, perhaps? I don't have great hearing, but can make out dialogue in almost any film. I'm just getting old, but have looked after my hearing pretty faithfully for the last 25 or so years (ear plugs, etc.). This is one of those things that can be a real pain in the ass when the sound hasn't been tweaked for intelligibility.
Just my guess.
Cheers,Graham

Poor dialog intelligebility, whether because of a theater's sound system or a poorly recorded film sound track (or both) is inexcusable given today's technology.
I am off to see this today.
