Along with Peter Jackson's "Heavenly Creatures", I thought it was the best film of 1994. My problem with it is that it spawned a whole bunch of inferior wannabees that featured lousy dialog with "attitude", "loveable" criminals, and ridiculously-twisted "plots". Watch "Eight Heads in a Dufflebag" as an example of this kind of crap; they're showing it on Comedy Central at least two times a week. One exception this year was "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels"; recommended if you can deal with the high body count.
Frankly I find it astonishing that anyone interested in film *couldn't* like this movie, but....... differnet strokes I guess. As much as I admire Pulp - and everytime I watch it I discover something new - I personally prefer Reservoir Dogs for its raw energy and emotion (although it is the more immature work and uneven at times).
I also love True Romance which was scripted by Tarantino and is the only movie by Tony Scott I consider worth watching.
BTW, Pulp proved that Bruce Willis can act - why does he continue to waste his time and talent on dreck like Armageddon, etc.?
