    As he pointed out, the Beatty "Heaven" was a remake of a forties film called "Here comes Mr. Jordan" (I like both, by the way).

    And you are correct, there is also a forties film called "Heaven Can Wait"

      Yes, but the Lubitsch one has nothing to do with the two others.
      I saw the original ( 1941 ) long time ago, but have retain a good memory of it.
