I am a man of the South and my words may have more excitation as yours, but I reread my few lines and and rethink of this film and I must recognise that we share the same feeling on this picture. But in a time of mental & spiritual thirst this one is like some drops of water on a hot stone.
I see it at a good movie, that may grow on you. It has the potential to do so.
Follow Ups:
Yes, no questions, a very good movie. Even my wife, who's been quite nasty recently - man, she didn't even like the two recent French works - managed to say something nice about it. :-)And she is very harsh judge with great eye!
My wife must equals your or even worse! Very few films do find grace at her eyes.
The last time she had a laugh * was with " Le Dinner des Cons ".
When Anya gets bored she simply turns away and opens a book. Me - I tend to finish the movie, and in case of the last French one with Adjani I thought it was well worth it, and that that she bailed out prematurely. The worst part is when she, upon turning away, starts making some snide comments... he-he... that sometimes hurts!
Yes the same, she takes a book and after the film the same kinds of remarks...
As someone said : " Women are not made to be understood, but to be loved "
You need to be an old capitulative old fart to get it...
Loved, but not Lolitized?
Lolitized AND loved....
