Is that reference to Beria any reference to anyone btw. And is Tiblis another way of spelling Tbilisi? Just questions since I was always into geography and growing up, I did not always have the benefit of latest maps - (well, I used 25 yr old ones sometimes but actually it has helped since things have come full circle in certain parts of the world). No, I am not eastern european.
It was a very enjoyable movie. All the good things about life that I love so much.... cuisine and its perfection, wine, politics, geography, sex and much more ... oh history too.

I am not sure what you mean here. If you mean the bad guy in the movie, then it is a collective bad guy, no one in particular, if I remember right.

No, but try pronouncing Tbilisi the right way and you will see why it is spelled here the easy way. There are some constructions that are not easily pronounceable by any English-speaking person. Georgian language is quite unique, it can be very melodical and expressive. Their music, songs and dance are beautiful.
Overall, an enjoyable movie, even if the ending is not done too well.

  Yes, as for Tbilisi, that is what I thought. Being multi-lingual, it is sometimes a bit easier for me to try to pronounce words from a foreign language. But I wanted some clarification. Thanks.
  Yes, I thought it was an enjoyable movie but the ending was satisfactory not great but okay.
  I am positive that I am confusing some names like Berisha, a political chap in the area but not Georgian. And I was just wondering whether it was some kind of satire or something. Obviously not then. merely ruminating.
