I've been to a couple movies lately at the local movie theater/shopping mall. What's the deal with the anti-piracy clips that are being run before the movie? They are terrible! Does the industry seriously think those are going to deter someone from downloading or copying a video? The clip with the stuntman who equates stealing a candy bar (illegal) with copying/downloading films (uhhh.....also illegal?) is ridiculous. Is the viewer suppose to feel sympathy for the stuntman -> that he will soon be out of job because people are downloading movies? Maybe I am getting cynical in my old age, but it seems like a bit of a stretch.......

Worse are those annoying red sots they now add every few minutes of the film. They interupt any loss of disbelief.
They are ridiculous. A set carpenter saying it hurts him! Jeez, he makes scale and he's outta there . . a million copies don't hurt him or his stunt driving buddy either. I enjoy the Fandango ad much more.
