Mixed bag. The picture quality on this disc is the same as on the " normal " edition.
The sound too. A missed opportunity to treat us with a DTS soundtrack.
The difference is in the second disc.
If you like details on the making of then you will be happy, mostly I hate them because it tend too destroy the charm of the fantasy and romantism of the play.
But this film is so strong that it can cope with.
You get all the Audrey you long for.For her almost first film in Monte-Carlo in the hotel de Paris, where she was spot on the set from Colette, who engage her for " Gigi " to interviews..and more.
So a mixed bag.

I think I will stick with my laser disc copy!

The DVD (either one) is FAR better than the LD transfer.
The special laser disc is gourgeous*! I still have it. But on a big screen...
* That is the only LD I still have
