The hudsucker was a failed attempt. I thing that Fargo was maybe the most valid of what they have done...till now. It was the more complete.

To be a film. Remember it was somekind of a remake.
It was? I didn't know that. What was the original called?
It was Capra´s " Meet John Doe " with Gary Cooper. An old, but very good film. Humanistic and with a touch that some would call " utopian " but those who don´t feel this way are the real utopians.
Have you seen " The lost Horizon? "
The mother of a lot of films. Fascinant.
Are you sure Hudsucker was molded after Meet John Doe ?
Of course, at my age I can mixed up things.....But I look and I did not...
I know that this film does not have a large following but it remains one of my favorites. There are obvious references to other films
("The Front Page", "Star Wars", "Superman", etc.) but I don't think this highly original film is a remake of anything. It perfectly captures the fifties and makes a great double bill with "Quiz Show".
It was " Meet Joe Doe´ s" Capra. I saw twice, better say one time and a half. I just did not like it, I remember only to found it totally boring and having nothing of the magic the original had.
Which " Front Page " there are so many! The Quiz Show..is a film I like ! All falls together in this one.
I bought it.
