I know that this film does not have a large following but it remains one of my favorites. There are obvious references to other films
("The Front Page", "Star Wars", "Superman", etc.) but I don't think this highly original film is a remake of anything. It perfectly captures the fifties and makes a great double bill with "Quiz Show".
Follow Ups:
It was " Meet Joe DoeŽ s" Capra. I saw twice, better say one time and a half. I just did not like it, I remember only to found it totally boring and having nothing of the magic the original had.
Which " Front Page " there are so many! The Quiz Show..is a film I like ! All falls together in this one.
I bought it.
