No one agreed with my second nomination - My Cusin Vinny, yet I think that film deserves attention.Do we have a Complaints Department here? I wanna write one.
Follow Ups:
Maybe the yout don't know da film.
. . . Yoots.I have a friend half my age whom I call "Da Yoot". At a get together with a large group that hasn't heard me call him this, everybody gets it.
Any movie that can worm it's way into the consciousness of so many people can't be all bad.
.
"Wild American youths" which becomes "Wild American Yoots" or (for a native American flavour) "Wild American Utes"
Thank you. I know what it was, I was just trying to quote the judge's line from the movie. Sorry if it wasn't clear.
I just treated it as a "set-up". There are those (not habituees of this board, probably) who do not.I like "Wild Americans Utes", myself. But I never was politicallly correct!
Sceenwrites are constantly looking over their shoulders, then the directors... and then you are afraid to even discuss some films!A few more years and the gem like Vinny could not be even made.
Because nobody can remember this horrid caca of yesterday. The Complain Departement.
Did you see it? Are you asking ME? Asking ME?
No! Asking ME....
It is a brilliand little film, VERY American, and probably hard to translate - all those Youts... but incredibly funny... and Marisa Tomey is perhaps gorgeous and sexy as never before or after. But the true star of it is Joe Pesci - I wish he did more roles like that.
