Feminism and/or gore had nothing to do with its failure or my opinion of it. (Read the book.) Kidman's performance was only the first of my issues with this film - there are many others.

Zellweger's performance was a caricature, but at least it gave CM a much needed jolt of energy.

Where did you think the rooster's acting really shone - on the porch or in the pot?

Master & Commander was far superior as a thinking person's epic.
