I enjoyed the Virgin Suicides, neither classic nor awe inspiring, just good solid cinema with a story; and also think Ms Coppola will pleasantly surprise us in the future
I wasn't sure about watching this, but as it passes your critical eye I have added this to my list (and I have always been a fan of Bill Murray)
Graham
Follow Ups:
Yes, Virgin was a good solid work, I only look once, but one day I may do it twice. I think that Mrs. Coppola is a promising talent, she has the face for it, for God sake, away from this shallow & and boring Hollywood polished faces in Butox.
This film is a step in the right direction, and I think that aftter one or two divorces and some maladies around and in her ( !!! ) she will gain on weight...
I agree with you that she represents the better part of Hollywood. But I am less enthusiastic about her artistic merits at this point. I am hopeful she will keep developing - I stated that before - but today she shows just way too much of that woman's touch. By that I mean the unnecessary softness and corny-ness that becomes a burden, and is something that is usually associated the movies made for the Love Stories TV channel. So I wish her all the luck she might need - she does have my sympathy too. I will not go and see LIT in the theater, but will gladly take the second look on the cable.
I will too have a second look at the DVD!
Bon voyage.
