In Reply to: Why do people feel compelled to once again watch Jesus crucified with a bag of popcorn and a coke? posted by dennzio on February 27, 2004 at 15:02:06:
It is that special feeling of being touched by a profound experience. I felt that during "The Gospel of John". (I have not seen Passion, yet.)I suspect that Christians seek out such things in a quest for validation, renewal, and anointment. Such films offer those opportunites.
