Hehe.....
on that genre
No way will I defend the cause those films represent tho', "they" deserved to lose(!)
The best propaganda film I have ever seen, at a film festival years ago, was simply called "Parade", had no voice over or subtitles and was filmed in North Korea by a European filmmaker whose name, to my regret, eludes me, but I am fairly sure he was Scandinavian
Spectacular scale and fascinating and unique view of the most reclusive Stalinist regime, v. v. scary stuff!
I have always wondered how he got permission to film thatGraham
Darkly I rembember about this film and at the time I ask me the same question and as far I knows I think the director lied to them about how he would use the film material...and maybe he smugle some of it out of the country...Was something like that....
