In fact they did! If you look more ( can you ? ) at Mrs Miniver, you CAN actually recognise Jerry as a beautiful Mrs Garson!
As for the " Foreign Correspondent " it is more complicated, he is doing the " Sir Alfred " cameo at the beginning of the film! WHO had thought of that!
