how about ronin
Follow Ups:
I remember him referring to Ronin as one long car chase with pitstops for plot and character development. Not accurate, but funny.
He is by far my favorite critic. Nary a one of his "New Yorker" reviews leaves me without a hearty guffaw, sometimes two or three. And the breadth of his knowlege (not just films) is astounding. I recommend his book , a compendium of hie "New Yorker" writings.
