No, not Madame Zalupkina... Glukoza is the mystery singer, whose image has been hiding behind a smart animation. I think she is the only event in the whole of the recent Russian pop worth spending any time on. Since she appeared people have been guessing about her true identity - all that was part of a well done 'raskrutka'. Just very recently she finally showed up in person - and for weeks people were waiting in anticipation. She is apparently just 17, but talented. Her songs are full of good humor, a matter-of-factly delivery, nice and tasteful introduction of light sleng - as I said, she really stands apart from the usual boring crowd. Her shtick is the trepidations of a 17 year old girl in a big city.
