Tonite: Thirty-Two Short Films About Glenn Gould and The Rapture Special Edition (both on LD).Tomorrow night: The Silencers (60's Dean Martin spy spoof) and Lady in Cement (60's detective story with Frank Sinatra and Raquel Welch) - both in widescreen LD.
Sunday afternoon: Mosquito Coast (remastered widescreen LD) and The Betty Boop anniversary cartoon collection.
Not a single HD/DVD selection among them! : )
I have to admit, you are much more orginized than I shall ever be. For the last several days I have largely neglected the screen (except for some rather unfortunate HDTV commercials watching) - there has been too much activity in the swords department. But now that I finished fixing the broken scabbard on the nice Russian Imperial cavalry saber (see the picture), and cleaning my new 18th century French court sword, I have some free time. I have a pile of tapes to watch that I have been pushing back and back. So I too am really looking forward to that weekend. I shall let you know if I find anything really interesting.I could not buy Tess locally - plenty of Save That Ryan Already stuff, though. Maybe I will rent it tonight.
So you like that spy/detective stuff, hah? I really loved the Hopscotch - what do you think about that one?
BTW, which Rapture is that going to be? I presume the one with Mimi? What is Special abut that Special Edition?
And The Betty Boob... but who am I to critisize anyone, after watching all those StayFree commercials for hours...
So, have a nice one. Report back.
Interesting sword though I can't say I know much about blades beyond my morning shave with a Wilkinson or Gillette.Hopscotch was a fun flick. Haven't seen it for some time, will have to watch it again soon. In addition to being remastered in widescreen, Rapture SE has a secondary audio track with a great discussion of the film by Mimi Rogers, David Duchovney and director Michael Tolkin. A much too self-indulgent movie-watching weekend and now I must catch up on the chores I neglected over the next couple days.
BTW, is it just me or does that Cossack bear an uncanny resemblance to Dan Ackroyd?!?
BTW, I only intend on watching FARSCAPE tonight
