Another cookin' and eatin' movie.A light weight, contemporary, German film at that explores the relationships of a high-strung "haute" chef, Martha.
Very light weight fare but loaded with good food. Refreshingly rated PG, the production values are extremely high which I find redeeming in almost any film.
Follow Ups:
Boring and the Babette´s Feast for the poor....not even that.
Bernardo did love it.
just joking. Searched comments and I am almost in Bernardo's camp. Martina Gedeck is such a mature, beautiful woman--almost a Germanic ideal. I did enjoy the all the actor's performances. The excellent production values certainly helped. I see a film for it's craft as much as it story.
It was predictible from minute one. Have you seen Babette?
