Is it NTSC (i.e., playable on region 1 players?).
Follow Ups:
YES.
I just went to Amazon and although they have the dreadful 1976 remake they say the 1933 original on DVD "has not yet been released".Can you point me in the right direction if it is really on DVD?
Well I double check and you are right still not in the US ! The same cover is Germany and it is already years old!
In France too!
That is most unusual to be in Europe first for an American film!
Sorry!
But you could get the French version which is good. ( If you have no patience and code II )
I believe that that one is in the European PAL format and thus is unplayable on my equipment. But thanks for chaecking.I'll bet that the DVD is finally realesed to coincide with and poublicize the Peter Jackson remake.
Yes, but you could easily make it work on your dvd...
Well it is release in France and Germany:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0024216/
So now I am wondering!
Regards, too!
Patrick
