Look I enjoyed Kill Bill as much as the next guy but this is not in Raiders' league - not in the same ballpark. Kill Bill is a tribute to martial arts films - great it didn't transcend the genre making it the best ever film on the subject. Raiders(for the action/adventure genre) and Pulp Fiction (for well the cult/pulp films and novels) did.In fact Kill Bill is an offshoot almost from ONE scene from Pulp Fiction when UMA tells Travolta that she was in a pilot for the Fox Five.
Raiders is for adults - and if you're a smart one you may pick up on the subtlety, insight and commentary on World War II and the government. Or you can watch it for the sheer slam bang fun and some of the best dialogue in the genre.
Follow Ups:
where you said "Raiders" was for adults. It was a nod to children's matinees of long ago. The cartoonish villains, the teenagish male-female "relationship..." adult?
Amazing one places "Pulp Fiction" in the same category, much less the same galaxy of quality. Kind of like comparing "My Sharona" to "Aida."
