Just because it has that bag of cash. Instant anxiety!

Duh.
I thought he was miscast in that role. - AH
Too menacing, too little so?
I thought this was a great performance, one that brought him out of his usual "Ronen," "Heat," tough guy.
This guy seemed genuine, profoundly troubled, yet oddly likeable. Upon the second viewing, the shock of the parking lot shot diminished as I could see his character losing his patience with her over a period.
His last scene, with Sam Johnson in the car, was brilliant.
If you're a Tarantino fan, please, do yourself a favor and watch it again, and pay strict attention to Bobby's character. The relationship with Bridget is one of the best I've seen on screen...which makes its termination so much more devastating.
what did you think his performance as Richard Gecko in "From Dusk
Till Dawn"? - AH.
I guess, but there's all that baggage (kind of like watching a famous person in "real life" doing a cameo of someone different).
Another point to notice about DeNiro in Jackie B: notice how neurotic his character is, how he reacts to Sam Johnson's insults. To Bridget's character's.
Notice, also, how tenderly he treats Bridget. The emotion is quite palpable, making the ending of the relationship so appalling.
