Anyone sprung for this new 2-DVD special edition? If you are a Lee fan, this is the definitive Lee flick, in a definitive edition--of course, until HD-DVD arrives.I haven't bought it yet. This is one DVD edition where the extras interest me. For the most part, I just don't care for extras.
The extras remind me of the extra and alternate tracks on re-releases of classic albums: The Who's Tommy, Who's Next, etc. I don't care for these either--I usually listen to them once, and then ignore them.
To each his own, however, since there are those who do enjoy the extras.
Follow Ups:
the white man's version of Michael "I like to sleep with young boys, innocently, of course..." Jackson?
BTW, I agree with you on extra scenes, and director's cuts, in general. Most great writers were helped by very good editors.
Is Enter the Dragon really considered definitive by Lee fans? I've always preferred the earlier movies -- The Big Boss , Fist of Fury , Return of the Dragon . The earlier ones have the great common theme of the futility of the individual, no matter how strong, to conquer bad.
