Actor's movie par excellance. Near the end I was so worn out I wanted to overdose on pills. Interesting concept to take a rather mundane subject and to create an intense drama around it. Found the cinematography and soundtrack noteworthy. Wouldn't drink a bottle of red and watch this . . . that would be too many downers at once.
Follow Ups:
I thought it was "watchable" but after that, it jumped the shark.
.
The most dour movie ever made, and with perhaps the pettiest moral in the history of art:OPEN YOUR MAIL, ALREADY

Actually, I'm too old to drink.
Otherwise no one is too old. Just don't gulp the Lafite by the gallons, like what Patrick does... he-he...Actually, I do not like drinking while watching movies - it softens me, relaxes and I lose concentration and ability to absorb. So just a small glass of Port maybe, but not much more.
Yes a Port, is the right way, sometimes I let myself have a Grappa from master Levy ( the best ...)
Alochol is not good for enjoying art--creating, maybe. I'll bet you can really belt out a circuit to rival Rube Goldberg on a few tinni's!
It should have read...Cheap red, he?
