History of art is strange thing. Speaking of armless Venus... I once visited the studio of a sculptor who was sitting there staring at the wax model of a nude female figure he had just made. He was not quite satisfied, so he took a knife and started whacking at it, getting ready to recycle the wax.

As I watched it, suddenly it hit me - he struck a nice form without realizing it... I yelled at him to stop and asked to make bronze statue out of that wax figure - he did and I have it, it is quite interesting as it is, gutted, with no arms, no face, but its Greek hairdo still intact - I think the guy exceeded the surrealistic hight of Dali without even noticing it.
