I don't know how George would be able to play the mean streak in the hero... he is such a sweet guy. Whitman is indeed good, and as I said, I was pleasantly surprised, as generally I treat that genre as a time filler... this one is a good film.

BTW - we don't know that happened to the pilot - I presume nothing good, and it was great to let his line and the doctor's just ride into sunset.

I think you are right about the rifle, the ammo certainly looked that way, and the rifle was big enough. I hope they didn't make the actor experience the REAL recoil of the beat, though!
