Watched the DVD of this over the weekend. I saw it in the theater when it was out but watching this DVD was like seeing it again for the first time. (Actually that seems to be happening a lot lately, maybe I should seek out some ginko or something.) Anyway, I really liked the 1st half of this movie but the 2nd half seemed to drag. I don't know why I lost interest, maybe it just got to be a bit predictable in the 2nd half, or maybe there wasn't enough character development for me to care about following their gang adventures..... It picked up again near the end when Rocket finally started taking some photos. But at that point I was out of steam. Anyone else thought this picture had a bit of a momentum problem?
Follow Ups:
and could well understand why it made some critic's best of the year list. I found it compelling all the way through and was surprised by the ending (not Li'l Ze's death, but the killers). Highly recommended.

Mike
but the first time I didn't find it dragged AT ALL--- quite the opposite, in fact!
No. I liked it from start to finish. I did not find it so predictable.
