Fully my point again. The theatrical film was a bore and long without end. How can someone EVER want to add something to this monstrosity?
You got my point?
Follow Ups:
OTOH, I'm not the only person around here who feels that you're grossly in error about LoTR (i.e., calling the entire epic a "monstrosity" simply because YOU fail to appreciate it)! You're certainly entitled to dislike these wonderful films, but not to trash the series simply because it isn't YOUR taste in cinema, nor to criticize those who DO appreciate it.
Everybody is entitle to like what he want to see, of course.
As I clearly stated, you're free to like or dislike whatever you choose, and any well reasoned discussion about why LoTR isn't your cuppa tea is fine. OTOH, your right to trash LoTR by calling it a "monstrosity" impunes the tastes of anyone who enjoys this series by hinting that their tastes are somehow inferior to your's; that, will in turn be criticised.
Would you suggest that there is nothing like " good taste "?
***OTOH, your right to trash LoTR by calling it a "monstrosity" impunes the tastes of anyone who enjoys this series by hinting that their tastes are somehow inferior to your's;It does nothing of that kind... how should I explain it to you... well, it simply means Partick didn't like it.
I really can't understand your problem. We have people routinely slam films here. Some of those films are liked by others. Yet I don't recall anyone besides YOU to go ballistic over such "rejection".
I think you could use some Draz time. You seem to have that notion that once ***YOU*** liked something that becomes sacred... well, it doesn't.
Why do you think you are that special?
You yourself have made numerous jokes about the taste of people like Patrick, and I don't recall him get hysterical like you do every time an innocent joke about your love for LOTR is aired.
I think you just need to grow up.
It will be the only possible help for our dear friend Audiophilander. It will be the perfect love / hate relationnship....
... idiot/idiot relationship to which Victor & you apparently dominate/submit? ;^)
Apparently watching LOTR killes the last brain cells.
nt
Of course, that's just one man's observations; YMMV.Conversely, Victor seems to be having some difficulty figuring out the idiot/idiot part, probably because it suggests that you both have the potential for being equals in film expertise. ;^)
That's the pot calling the kettle balck - you could not take anyone not liking 81/2.If you read - Patrick called the film a monstronsity - that is an opinion he stated it as though it was a fact - as you often state things.
This poster has claled him on this correctly - nothing argumentative about it - but it was from Patrick.
And while I'm no fan of the Lotr pictures myself largely because i also found it overlong - I am not going to SLAM a person's taste in these pictures.
I guess they didn't teach you that if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything.
This particular thread was obviously geared to LOTR lovers and how they would like to watch all three pictures - there is nothing asking for an opinion about them.
It's pretty small of people who's only goal on here is to rain on other's people's most cherrished. Says a lot about your personality and Patrick's.
BUT for me! You see the difference?
Try harder.
...decide to be arse-h*les or feign being polite and considerate. ;^)
***you could not take anyone not liking 81/2.A garbage. Show me when I made a connection to my taste.
Righteous indignation isn't very becoming when it's so obviously fake.
He feels he is entitled to his moronic jokes, but no one can touch him.
