    Great thread on a great actor!

    I recently happened upon the made for tv film The Shinning...this is now badly dated, and much of the acting is just bad (it starred David soul, so expectations shouldn't be to high)...but James Mason just shines in his role as the assistant to pure evil... Mason could really be freightening and intense at times. Already mentioned was the Verdict...a few of his scenes in the courtroom, attacking the prosecution's witnesses, were acting at its best, imo.
