Yes of course! Gance's Napoleon, which was wonderful to watch when it was re-released in the 80's with the restored 3 screen 'polyvision'.
I have not seen 'Le Nuit de Varennes'. Harvey Keitel as Thomas Paine? Well, he was quite good as Fereau in 'The Duellists'. Thanks for that suggestion.
I would love to see the Nuit again, so I looked on Amazon... there is no DVD, and the VHS tapes... man, they go for $109.00 USED!Forgossen...
Sad... but I will check my rental store for sure.
I bought the video store's VHS copy when they cleaned house last time...it's not in very good condition, drop-outs etc.Las Nuit de Varennes was on BRAVO or another cable channel (IFC?) about a year ago.
