Ridicule is weak but, Victor recommendation " La Nuit de Varennes " is very strong. And J.L. Barrault with Marcello!
Follow Ups:
Acting is superb there... needless to say.But I don't quite agree with your opinion on Ridicule... I consider it light-hearted and witty, with good performances, unimposing and easy to flow with. Like your typical Louis XVI interior.
And the great peeing scene is something to behold!
I know we already discussed it. But as said the second viewing was disappointing...
The Scola? I know only the French one!

So I bought it as a present to my wife.We haven't seen it in ages, so I am sure she will enjoy that DVD.
