It was OK, back then when. Last time I saw it must have been twenty years ago. I doubt I would enjoy it again.Have you ever met a prostitute that looked like young Jane Fonda?
Follow Ups:
who look as good or better, and certainly more elegant. In the 1970s many cover girls "supplemented" their income that way. Few people made what Cheryl Tiegs did . . . and, no, to my knowledge she did not engage in such supplementation.
Yes, I heard similar stories... it's just when you drive through Wilmington you get very depressing picture!
its only redeeming virtue is its proximity to Chad's Ford! And its tax laws!Wilmington was toasted by the race riots of the 1960s and has never really recovered.
such gorgeous creatures frequent (frequent . . . they do not "hang out") the Hotels on Rittenhouse Square. These are not to be confused with the somewhat lesser variants who are a stone's throw away at the train station.
You restored my trust in mankind! I will call my wife and we will check them out. It's only a 40 minutes drive to Rittenhouse Sqaure.
go to Russia, you only look at caviar and tubes?
You know... I wrote it and then I started recalling the ladies I see in the bars there... I have to admit that while most of them look like... well, bar prostitutes, there are some who would pass for the top super-models.So I guess the answer to my own question is a strong yes... but certainly NOT in Phily!
Got this on laser disc; the Film can't hold a candle to say Peckinpahs "The Getaway" and is spoiled by a crummy plot, but Fonda did win an academy award for best Actor in a supporting role for this, and likely deserved it"Working in Hollywood does give one a certain expertise in the field of prostitution" she is quoted as saying later
A woman with a sense of humor that wrecked a meteoric career by expressing support for the Viet Cong; a statement she later retracted
NOT a mystery thriller but rather an action film?
was trying to think of a film that has held up well from that era (when Klute really hasn't) and I indeed failed miserably...
The Thomas Crown Affair (if I might be permitted another shot)
which has a romantic interest with a dash of mystery works far better as a film and is more salvageable than Klute
