For those of you who've seen Heavenly Creatures(starring Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynsky) you probably know it's never been available in the US on DVD.
It can be found on a region 1 compatible disc in Canada from
www.HMV.com.
In my opinion, one of the greatest films of the 90's and probably the greatest acting debut of all time(Kate Winslet).

...but the better acting debut was costar Melanie Linsky's. Her character is the one who has to change the most in the film, snapping from oppressed weakness to aggressive, determined psychosis. But film stars have to be beautiful, so poor Melanie disappeared off the radar screen.

  Agreed about Lynsky. She seems to have disappeared unfortunately.
  Every time I watch this film I'm more amazed.
  I'm obviously a big Winslet fan. She will be in Quills later this year followed by Enigma.
