I know he's been in many better movies, but "Harper" is the character I remember most.
(I do feel, somewhat, that he is a "poor man's" version of Brando; good food products, however).

How about the one about the Nobel prize with Edward G. Robinson and Elke Sommers? I think it was called The Prize. That was one of my favorites.The Verdict and Absence of Malice are also two of my Favorite Newman films.

I think he has chosen his "senior" roles with great care. His role in "Nobody's Fool" was great and his brief appearence in "Message in a Bottle" put some spark in an otherwise dismal film. I think his classic roles in all those "H" movies will stand the test of time.
