"The war in Iraq is the best thing that ever happened to Micheal Moore. What a shameless jerk Moore is.
If he presented his film FREE OF CHARGE...maybe I'd have a little respect for the pig. After all, he wants to save the world.(Ha Ha)"Do you ignore O'Reilly be cause he gets paid millions for his view? Do you ignore Hannity for making millions to give his view? Do you ignore and say these awful things about Rush who makes millions exploitng people like you? Moore made an INVESTMENT, and could have lost his shirt, and almost did, TO BRING YOU THE TRUTH. QUIT being afraid of the truth; if Moore's film were not an act of courage, and truth, you would be able to post ONE FALSITY in the film. And you have not. Nor has anyone else. It is really funny to read the shameless Neocons who have the tact of saying "all those falsities" and yet never name one. Not a one.
"Moore could have done a documentry film on 19 evil bastards that knew how to fly planes...!!
"
Who would that help? Would that save one life? Were those deeds done IN YOUR NAME? He is trying to prevent future killings DONE in OUR NAME. And our soliders being killed for nothing, it is ONGOING NOW. Going over 911 and how bad those people are wastes everyone's time. WE KNOW IT! We don't need to be told. And there is enough 911 documentary stuff to last a lifetime. THIS NEEDED TO BE TOLD. He is brave enough to do it. That alone should silence you. Congratutlate him on his courage.
You owe Moore thanks for awakening you to the falsities that this war was based on; even if you disagree.

Here you go.http://www.rnc.org/news/read.aspx?ID=4386
Straight from the RNC. Dispute, dance, spin all you want. Call the entire RNC liars if you must, it wouldn't suprise me. The film is not worthy of the title documentary because it doesn't document any sort of reality. It is pure fiction full of lies with the sole purpose of deceiving those inclined and susceptible to such deceit.
The difference between Moore and guys like Hannity and Limbaugh is that Moore went out of his way to lie to you. He did not argue grey area. He did not accidently omit fact after fact. He willingly did so knowing many people will not bother to check for themselves how valid his hatchet-job really is. He is malicious, dishonest and does a great disservice to the freedom he enjoys.
..funny how so many "facts" point in multiple directions....
Cetaele (aka Bob)
Nothing on Moores page even remotely addresses what is listed on the RNC page I posted above. Try again. One thing is clear however, Clinton ignored (1993 World Trade Center bombing) and ran from terrorism (Somalia) for 8 years. Bush did no more and no less in his first several months prior to 911.
...the debate would continue... :)
Cetaele (aka Bob)
How about the phony newspaper headline from the Bloomington Illinois Pantagraph that Moore shows in his film? It didn't exist. Moore made it up.
At least you do site specifics, so either way, true or false, I commend you.
Moore took a headline related to a letter to the editor and made a fake newspaper page that represented it as a news headline. Letter to Moore from the Pantagraph's lawyer asks for a correction and token compensatory damages.
10 grand to anyone catching an inaccuracy in the film; Bruce already had one, and I told him, "Go for the 10 grand!!" Apparently he no longer knows me. Why don't you try and collect?
For an hours work, a shot at ten grand??????
Did I not state in my post...that war SUCKS?
Although I am a Bush supporter....I was and still am..AGAINST the U.S.A going into Iraq. (at this period in history, at least)I've dis-liked M.Moore ever since his first film "Roger & me".
And...have dis-liked him ever since.
His Fahrenheit.....is his attack on George Bush & co., who'm he hates with a passion. Not so much about telling the truth.Now....I love BOTH points of view......but give me someone with an interesting way of talking about the truth...like Hunter S. Thompson, for example. Hunter Thompson probably agrees 110% with what Moore says
But, unlike the pig Moore....H.S.T., puts his opinion out there in books with out his ego demanding "camera time".THE TRUTH about war is always bad news. The American people don't need the pig-Moore telling them the truth. If they DON'T know the truth,...then it only confirms what I've always said and that is:
...What the American people don't know, is what makes them the American people.....in other words, 60 percent of the general public are basically, morons.
"....YOU can't handle the truth!!!!"
...Jack Nicholson, in A Few Good Men.
"in other words, 60 percent of the general public are basically, morons."That is true how else could Republicans keep getting voted in.
Moore does write books - but because so many schools are ill-funded because not all schools get the same funding(rich schools get most money) then he needs to make a film to all those who can't read.
Moore is incredibly biased - he has a point of view and whether I necessarily agree with him on every point - he is DEAD right on the big picture of his arguments - and by the way he blasted Clinton in his book too calling him a lapdog of the Republicans or some such thing.
But conservatives have always been in bed with fascististic thinking. Thank you conservatives for your support of Hitler and Mussolini and Saddam - Thanks ROnnie for giving him all those weapons and thanks for providing Bin Laden all the money and his family and the wondering why it comes back to bite you in the ass. Yes conservatives and consevative voters the blood is on YOUR hands for voting for these money grubbing monsters.
But hey during WWII the conservative parties like Ford, Westinghouse, IBM, Coke, ITT, Dupont Chemical, I.G.Faben(who built Auswitz), Union Carbide, Singer, Kodak, G.E., Genral Motors, throughout the entire war were selling to the Nazis while Americans were being killed and of course the Jews - but they don't matter Ford(coservative republican shareholders) profits increased from 25.8million marks in 1933 to 60.4 million marks by 1939 ---all of whom built these wonderful German weapons. But hey I can understand why people would vote for such a party - I mean if I have haliburton investments like Cheney the best and only way to make a profit is to have a war - and since these people can avoid emnlisting their kids because they have lots of money - they can send the black kids to war becuase hey - their nothing but disposable people.
You said---"... haliburton.... best and only way to make a profit is to have a war..."Sorry pal o mine, Halliburton has a sound balance sheet and income statement in times of peace too so war is NOT the only way for them to make a profit. We were last in a "real" war in, uh, 1991 and before that? 1975. Funny how they've survived. Got a nice business that they do very well. We use em all the time down here in Louisiana. They're simply the best in the world at what they do, oil field service (although Schlumberger might argue with that).
You said -- "...they can send the black kids to war becuase hey - their nothing but disposable people."
First, its "they're", not "their". Sorry, couldn't resist, that ones a pet peeve. I can't spell for shite, but I did learn about those nasty contractions. But I digress, Thats a real class warrior statement you make that defies easily verifiable numbers. Check out the ratios of whites to blacks in this war, Desert Storm, Vietnam, WWII, WWI. Whether I support Bush, the war, tax "brakes"' for the rich, is irrelevant, but your inaccuracies beg to be pointed out.
Check the percentages of Blacks in Vietnam as opposed to the percentage of blacks in the United States at that time - then check for the MORE relevant number of Blacks sent to the front as opposed to whites - then work it by economic background of percentage of poor whites versus rich whites - and the percentage sent to the front. Being in the military and being at the front isn't the same thing.Halliburton is one example of a larger issue of capitalism run rampant - Capitalism is much closer to Fascism than people care to admit or think about.
By the way
em isn't a word - it is them.
Thats isn't a word - it is That'sAnd Americans should learn to spell cheque(as in a cheque you receive from work) as opposed to I'll check in on you later - and Colour. America's bastardization of the English language is atrocious.
Speaking of those nasty contractions:ones ? one's
Thats ? That'sSorry, I couldn't resist either. ; )
No problem. Those always give me fits. It's tough sometimes. Wait, correct that, "Its" tough sometimes.I wrote my bro n law the other day,
"They're on the way to their new house located over there by the hill" after getting one of his butchered "Their" E-mails. He never even asked WTF I was talking about.
Guess there's prolly more important things to worry about.
Wait, make that, "there are"
No, make that "theres"
.........................
"It's" is the contraction of "It is". "Its" is the possesive (e.g., the cat licked its tail). But you prolly were kidding.
I just went to this complete waste of time, 8 hour, "Plain English Writing" class for work. One of the questions somebody posed was whether there is a contractive "It's" and if so, when to use it. The instructor, not that he's (hes????) the ultimate God of Good Grammar, said, its OK to use "its" for both cases and forget the contraction. I always thought like you did, that you need the apostrophe to make "it" tie to the verb "to be". Maybe "its" all just the part of the overall "dumbing down" of grammar and English as taught in the 21st century. Think I'll go add up a column of numbers and crunch em a bit. That hasn't been changed, yet. Maybe I'll do Halliburton's EPS for FY '03 vs. FY '02.

Again, reread. Or read more carefully. You miss the points, of Moore's film, and my post.
