Mann turned up the tempo considerably from "Heat" to make this film genuinely compelling. No lags, no gags, just straight story and action. Jamie Foxx is turning into a suprising true talent. Impressive. Jada Plinket was terrific (especially the cab scene). And, for the first time ever, I accepted Tom Cruise in an adult role as an adult. I believed him. Maybe he should be psychopathic assassins here on out. (Maybe he's finally ready for Mimi.)Found the dance club sequence intense and disheartening. Good stuff. Dom guzzlers should disguise themselves and slip on down to the bargain matinee.

That was great! I always thought Cruise was the biggest fool for dumping Mimi Rogers. What a gal! And she plays poker too!.
Music is Emotion
This movie is the only Cruise movie I have actually considered checking out. I'm so bored of all the other stuff.

This movie is looking interesting. "Compelling" is adequate for a look see. On Leno, the clip shown was a dance club scene. If this is the one you mentioned, I agree - very intense.Did you happen to see the recent Espy Awards show? Jamie Foxx performed a hilarious number, which he sang a serenade to Serena Williams. Amazing singing talent as well, in an r&b style. One thing that was interesting when Serena went up on stage, her thighs dwarfed Foxx a bit. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised considering her world-class stature.
Speaking of Jamie Foxx - there's a funny skit on Chappelle's show where Chappelle's plays Black Bush (Dubya) and Foxx plays a black Tony Blair. Foxx does a great job with the accent and demeaner of Blair - its quite amusing.........
