I for one would like to see a woman be "James Bond" for a few episodes. For example, Kate Beckingsale could play Jane Bond (James Bond's 28th illegitimate child borne of a Russian spy)and use some real sex appeal to burn up the screen.Frankly, I'm tired of looking at Brosnan's hairy, flabby chest. Strangely, it doesn't do anything for me at all (?)

Sorry to be a sexist pig but Bond is a man and can only be a man. Sorry feminists but part of the appeal is the fact that James is a male misogynistic alpha male.And as a guy I would rather see James bag 3-4 women in the movie than ONE female lead with a bunch of males - unless Jane Bond is a Lesbian of course - and then Hey I'd agree.
The point of Bond is that all the women watching him want him - and all the guys wish they could be him. Except some girlie man who only wants an art film.
But frankly, I don't know who goes to see those movies. So how about bringing them closer to reality?You can say many things about the Soviets, but to their credit they never went for the dreck like 007, so their spy movies (at least some of them) were often interesting.
I am not against some play element in them, but what started as lighthearted fun with Connery, is now pegging the dumbness scale.
As for the rest, fully agree again...This " franchise " is so stupide and worn out as anything can be.....
After the two or three first films it just turn out to be just some catrsted films, lacking the sexuality & sadism & raw brutality of the books.
