I really don't know if this movie is even available with subtitles, but if it is, then you simply must see it. We saw it for the second time after many years and its wit, beauty and fine acting and directing are simply among the best. Plus the total combination is completely unusual. Made by Mark Zakharov, one of the premier modern Russian directors, right before the last agony feat of the Iron Curtain, it is timeless. Even though it is based to large degree in Russin history, it is completely relevant to any society and its subte analysis is piercing.
