Teddy Bear's Picnic. Each made about 12-15 minutes, and then got dumped. Keanu Reeves goes for Diane Keaton? Sure.
What a "55 year old woman-fantasy movie", what a bunch of sh*te. Maybe next they will put on a beauty pageant of 55 year old women to see how many men watch.
Zippo. Except maybe at the nursing home.
Follow Ups:
(nt)
"Saggies Run Riot", Maybe it could star Maria Schneider in her later years . . . an excellent follow up to Brando's line in "Last Tango".. . . Actually, I think someone beat me to it, though with someone other than Ms. Schneider.
Let's see hoiw you fell when you are 50 and over. There are many beautiful women of all ages. I thought Diane Keaton's acting in "Something's" was wonderful.
I thought that this film was better than the trailers led to believe. Great? No. But worth watching. And with this film and "About Schmidt", maybe Jack Nicholson is finally attracted to women his own age (at least, professionally).
IMO, it was just as hard to believe the young girl with Jack, too.
But, the beach scene where Diane and Jack were conversing seemed so much like natural conversation, it just goes to show you what the "old pros" can do. I wonder how much was ad-libbed?
In Vino Veritas
I though SGG was pretty good, although it was (more or less) the same role that Jack has played in his last couple movies. Certainly not a great film but I had no problem sitting through it (once.) Of course Keanu was awful....but hardly a surprise. I enjoyed Fracis McD as the feminist/women's studies professor at Columbia. I was an English major in college and I had more than a few women profs just like that - great portrayal.
Dui,Sorry that you had a bad run there. The only thing that brightened my weekend at all were the encouraging recent adjustments in the election polls.
Older women: I saw Raquel Welch walking around at the L.A. Music Center a couple of years ago, and I must say, for someone born in 1940! quite amazingly attractive! She could certainly blow a few pacemakers at the nursing home! She must be going to the finest body and fender shops around.. Has a very friendly demeanour as well.
But, still Sophia Loren has to top the lists of women who stay just wonderful for their age.
I saw Jaqueline Bisset several years ago and she was beginning to look like Joan River's older sister. Odd how the pace of aging varies.
Cheers,
Bambi B
-who can pass for two years younger than my real age!
