I could tell you because because WE failed, but that would be only a " bon mot " but not untrue...
This film did because it is too " American " it use too many clich�s, too stative, stoogey, cut too lamely, more I think Jaffe make up do NOT work.
In one word this film did not pass the test of time. It is TOO unmodern. Look at Capra other films....Pas une ride.
