Don't forget Sturges' masterpiece "Sullivan's Travels" or "Palm Beach Story". The sequence in the latter film where runaway wife Claudette Colbert falls in with the Ale and Quail Club on a private railroad car is screwball comedy at its best. Sturges wrote some of the smartest, wittiest dialogue in film history.
