I haven't seen anyone post about this movie? Anyone see it?I saw it and I liked it. It's not a "philosophical" film per se. It uses philosophy in a humorous way, to make the characters kinda zany and oddball. The plot reminds me of something that Charlie Kaufman would have put together, a mindblender that intentionally tickles your brain enough to make you cry "uncle". I found it fun and enjoyable.

Follow Ups:
I though I ♥ Huckabees had a lot of good individual performances, but the plot dragged in places. At least 10 people walked out in the first half-hour.My favorite scene was when Mark Walberg was riding his bike to the fire. The final scene was kind of a let down. seemed to be appealing to the lowest common denominator and not in the spirt of the rest of the film.
If nothing else the term "encypting the truth" refering to the act of lying, was worth the price of admission.
I liked it pretty much as you did. It has a gentle fun with modern day people dealing with philosophy and the frustrations of not having the answers to the big questions. The plot was tight and true to the theme of the movie at all times. Some parts are just plain hilarious. The diner with the Sudanian refugee and his adopted family killed me. On a minor note. This film was supposed to be called I love Huckabees. I'm not sure when or why some one along the way started calling it I heart Huckabees. Reminds me of the joke I heart your dog's head bumper sticker.I thought the saved rock with the yellow tape was also hysterical.
they pronouce it i "heart" huckabees in the tv ads, so i started doing the same. cuter i guess.

Yeah,I refer to it I heart the Huckabees too just so people know what I am talking about. An odd change. Maybe it was an after thought or just a mistake. Who knows? Nice movie either way. Glad you liked it too.
