I didn't love FN quite as much as you...but is there a more graceful, beautiful American actor than Johnny Depp?I'm not ashamed to say I needed to dry my eyes at the end.
Of the many lovely moments in this film, there is one small piece that struck me as a stunning piece of visual storytelling: (small spoiler below)
I'm referring to the long, fixed shot where Mr. & Mrs. Barrie retire to their separate bedrooms - she opens her door and enters a black, lightless room. He opens his door, and vanishes into a lush, shimmeringly bright green forest.

...her moving the furniture around?
You gotta warn people about actors speaking with regional inflection not native to their own. Yes, some actors can do it. But I mostly find many who cannot. So, even if not 'accurate' to a film's setting, I prefer the actor speak in their own voice. And suspend disbelief vis a vis the non-accent. Rather than struggle to watch the actor struggle with the accent. Why the rant Elmo? Ever since I walked out of the 'Seduction of Joe Tynan.' Hearing Meryl Streep mangle her way through her Southern character's part in the opening minutes. Been a pet peeve of mine.
Anyway, did enjoy the movie, though it took me a while to settle down/overcome the Irish (?) brough. Don't think it best film of the year. But pleasant and enjoyable. With the latest turn of critical praise possibly overselling the film? But, that's business.
...unless the character is American. It would never play over there.By the way it was a *Scots* accent and it never worried me. Did one once on stage meself too.
