I read the archives here before watching it a few days ago. I have to agree that cliche situations and outcomes are used. But for me, the story remained riveting and the performances were rewarding from beginning to end. The “Desperado” scene was one of many fine moments.I also watched “To Live”, which is culturally different and similar in struggle. Is this one familiar to you? Both motivated by hope and carried by love.
