I haven't see "Sprcerer" in a while but it is not as good as "Wages..." (what is?). But it's not bad, as I recall.
The film you refer to is "Cape Fear" with Robert Michum as the villain and Gregory Peck as the attorney he threatens. It was remade by Martin Scorces with Di Nero and Nick Nolte in these roles.
The same bernard Herrman score is in boith versions. The first film is the better.

Thanks. I actually thought the second one was horrible. Robert DiNero, whO I generally like, had to act or overact like a madman but he could not achieve by a mile what Robert Michum could do without really trying it seems.
