...Sean Penn's great.
Try Buffalo 66 also by Vincent Gallo, if you like 21 grams.
Follow Ups:
I thought it had good moments and was by far not the worst film out there. The family story was overdone, I thought, but both young actors - Gallo and Christina Ricci played quite well, plus Anjelica Huston was great too. Not a strong story, but passable.
Interesting, a lot of people hate Gallo's narcisism but I think he's just being honest. Like Narcisse!
I want to catch his last, The Brown Bunny' which came out but didn't show in my town, only Paris.
Got booed at Cannes by a lot of horny Italian journalists, I hear ;0)
Trouble Every Day.That will cure you. :-)
Can't stand her!!!
I think Friday Night is incredible, and Beau Travail simply one of the best films ever... IMO.
...I'm never set-minded and will look out for them and let you know what I think, ok?
But if you haven't seen the Trouble, don't bother, it is trash.Or I did not understand it... whichever came first!
How can someone make the best ever film & then do something you can't even watch?????
I know this happens, but what's the mechanism?
What other directors have done that?
I know, Gus Van Sant...
I really liked a few of his films but the last one, with Matt Damon about two guys lost in the desert, I walked out on.
NOTHING HAPPENED apart from them saying, 'let's go west' or 'you go over there and I'll go over here'
Shit!!
