anything to lookout for in this movie. Should I be worried what will it does to my system? I’ll be watching it on my 100” 16:9 wide screen using the LCD projector. I don’t want to see this movie cause fire in my HT room.
Follow Ups:
brutal. gave it half an hour. bad acting, script/story. Special effects ho hum after awhile. a real stinker. Not an adult movie.
I watched it on my nice new 56 inch flat screen, but didn’t realize the DVD I picked was formatted for a regular TV. I was upset. My error.I thought the movie was fun. It had its slow parts, but it also had some interesting futuristic aspects that seemed realistic.
Only problem? I too missed the last 15 minutes, which were very important due to a phone call... I kind of got the idea though.
I think it was a worthy rent.
Nice-looking, innocuous fare. Still has a suspiciously high 'Bullet and Explosion Count' for my liking but that's not unusual with this kind of big-budget interpretation. Just another opportunity missed I guess. For my part, I'm counting the days till The Incredibles is on DVD. If you haven't seen this yet, you don't know how stylish and subtle a "kid's movie" you're missing. I hope they grab a bunch of Oscars and make a few more - AS LONG AS Brad Bird is directing ( and voice-acting as Edna - "My God you've gotten fat!/I like our little chats daahhling").
Big J.
I'm not joking . . . even at the theater is was a big sedative.
( huh? )
BTW, is the F/X is as good as they say? Would my toddler and teenagers enjoy it? I don’t want to microwave 5 buckets of popcorn and open a keg of coke if it’s not worth the hassle.
