( huh? )
Follow Ups:
He's okay in some roles. But since you've brought up Leo being miscast, how about the Gangs of New York?
Though I enjoyed that movie, I still think he isn't a credible protagonist OPPOSITE THE CHARACTER PLAYED BY DANIEL DAY LEWIS.
He simple wasn't tough enough--physically or mentally. Since Leo was (mis)cast in the role of an immigrant (Irish, wasn't it?), I think Colin Farrell would have been perfect. He's Irish, he's a barroom brawler type, etc. (Agreed before it's brought up--Alexander the Great had an empire full of problems . . .)

I thought gangs of new york would have been better if LDC and DDL's roles were swapped. DDL can convey emotion more sincerely which makes an audience empathize more readily while most folks have an easy time hating LDC.Gangs isn't going to be looked upon as one of Scorsese's finer films. He also needs to stop working with LDC. I'm going in to Avaitor with luke warm expectations.
Huh? Day-Lewis nailed the part. Swapping roles? Idiotic. Leo was fine in Gangs playing the part of a feral youth. The film's problems had more to do with story arc and pacing.
