EVERYONE was over the top in Mystic River, especially Sean, and Tim.
Bad accents. Which means bad casting. Which CLint did.Blood work, terribly directed, action scenes that were incomprehensible, Clint himself was WAY OVER the top. He was terrible in Absolute Power, completely unbelievable. He needs to learn that in acting, a lot less, is a lot more. He still trying to act the young man, screen-idol part, and looks foolish trying to do it. He is an old man. He should take the parts of old men. He could learn much about acting, and thereby directing from Paul Newman. Who after a personal tragedy, muted his acting. And is ten times the actor he was before the tragedy.
Follow Ups:
Congratulations, you have discovered what virtually the entire movie going public, professional critics, and other actors have discovered. It appears that you missed your true calling. Of course, Penn did not use an accent in Mystic River. But that would be letting facts intrude on your opinions.
